Animals in Winter
Animals in Winter
Discover the secrets of hibernation, migration, and adaptation!
Service Description
Get ready to explore the fascinating world, "Over and Under the Snow" as we uncover the secrets of how forest animals thrive or survive the chilliest months. Through hands-on learning, children will discover the fascinating ways creatures like bears, squirrels, and birds prepare for winter. Through storytelling and song, we'll learn what bears and other animals do in the winter. Through imaginative play, we'll build cozy caves and dens for our animal friends using felt trees, blocks, and animal figures. In the sensory table, we'll take on a STEM Challenge to see who can design and build a sturdy, insulated bear shelter using tools such as mini marshmallows and toothpicks. Art: We will create a fun paper bag bear puppet and embark on a pretend bear hunt! Role Play: Warm up with friends at our hot chocolate stand in the Dramatic Play area. This class is packed with stories, science, and creative fun to celebrate the incredible resilience of animals in winter!
