Returning Fall 2026

Caregivers and children, ages 1 to 5 years old, spend time engaging in child-directed play as they follow their interests and explore new adventures.  Our nature inspired play studio and natural playground spaces are thoughtfully curated and filled with intentional, open-ended, play experiences that are designed to spark children's curiosity and wonder, while  encouraging them to make discoveries and have fun.

Children take part in activities such as artistic expression using various materials, hands-on interaction with the outdoors, dramatic and social play and sensorimotor and spatial activities such as using sensory materials to build, move, and understand their environment.

Our classes and workshops offer beautiful nature-inspired lessons that are designed to inspire the heart, hands and imagination. Experiential & interactive classes are taught by qualified teachers and  include  activities such as creative art, dramatic play, music and movement, nature skills,  gardening, food preparation and other themed  tasks.

Child-directed exploration and learning is encouraged, as is creative risk-taking and adventure (supervised of course). Guaranteed to cultivate curiosity, wonder and empower independence, children will walk away with a deeper connection with nature and themselves.

At Our Playful Garden, we have one foot in the forest and the other in our cozy Play Studio! Our camps are a giant invitation for kids to dive into the magic of the seasons. Whether we’re out exploring the tall trees or inside our sunshine-filled studio for some creative arts, we give explorers the space to grow wild, get a little dirt under their fingernails, and fall in love with the world around them.

Our Playful Garden's Tuesday Summer Series 1 (6/30, 7/7, 7/14) and Summer Series 2  (7/21, 7/28, 8/4) are child-led programs that take children ages 6-9 on a magnificent journey across our property. We will spend our first three weeks under the cool canopy of the wild woods building forts and tracking birds, before transitioning into the vibrant summer gardens to study plants and pollinators. It’s the perfect weekly rhythm for a summer rooted in freedom, creativity, and outdoor discovery.
